We’re looking for an experienced communications professional to lead on engagement and communications on a high-profile change project, with a focus on internal audiences, but reaching out to external stakeholders too. The successful candidate will work effectively as an embedded communications professional in a Project Team, and as a member of the Policy and Communications Directorate, where the professional leads for stakeholder engagement and internal communications are based.
About The Role
You will be the Communications lead and a key member of the Well Informed Regulatory Decisions (WIReD) Project Team. Your professional lead will be the Head of Internal Communications and Engagement, so you will work closely with the wider team at all times to deliver effective communications to the WIReD project that are aligned with our wider communications and strategic objectives.
We have identified the WIReD project as the vehicle for embedding cultural and digital change within our organisation and modernising our systems and regulatory processes. We want to have the best informed regulators in the world and the WIReD project will be putting our regulation and the people who deliver it at the centre of improvements, supported by fit for purpose technology. Every single one of our inspectors in ONR will have improved knowledge, productivity, connectivity and mobility as a result of the project. The project will also improve the transparency of our regulation to external stakeholders and change how we interact with them.
This is a strategic change project and will change how we work in ONR and our interfaces with external stakeholders, which is why we recognise the importance of getting our engagement right and are looking for a talented Communications Manager to be part of our project team to help us in making the sustainable change we are seeking.
