Office for Nuclear Regulation (ONR) is responsible for all nuclear sector regulation across the UK. ONR's mission is to provide efficient and effective regulation of the nuclear industry, holding it to account on behalf of the public.
The focus of the Finance Directorate is on enabling efficient and effective business delivery by working collaboratively, informing business decision making, adding, driving and protecting value throughout the organisation.
About The Role
The Band 4 Financial Accountant position will involve producing timely and accurate financial information for reporting purposes, whilst ensuring overall compliance with financial accounting standards, policies, Corporation Tax, PAYE and VAT. This is a key role in the Finance Directorate that requires interaction with both financial and non-financial managers therefore the ability to build productive working relationships is a key requirement. You will be competent in interpreting financial and management data, presenting information accurately and concisely, clearly articulating impacts to a wide range of stakeholders.
This is an exciting role and an opportunity to join the organisation at a time of considerable change. The role will afford the opportunity to develop ONR’s financial accounting policies and processes as well as driving forward initiatives, suggesting and implementing improvements as required.
